Arriba el Mate Foundation Promotes Intercultural Dialogue at the 5th World of Love Multicultural Carnival in Coquitlam

On Saturday, October 3, 2026, the Arriba el Mate Foundation proudly participated in the 5th annual World of Love Multicultural Carnival, hosted at the Great Canadian Casino Theatre in Coquitlam, BC. Invited by organizer Joanna Wu of the North America Chinese Culture Promotion Society, our foundation joined over 250 international artists and local community leaders in a powerful showcase of diversity, inclusion, and cultural exchange.
For nonprofit organizations in British Columbia, collaborative cross-cultural spaces are vital for fostering social cohesion. Arriba el Mate established a dedicated cultural pavilion showcasing Argentine heritage, which quickly evolved into an interactive hub for community engagement. Visitors and representatives from various ethnic backgrounds gathered around our traditional mate displays, participating in meaningful educational dialogues regarding the historic and modern contributions of the Argentine diaspora to Western Canada.
The carnival's performance gala, themed "Sound of Harmony," beautifully aligned with our organizational philosophy: utilizing heritage as an accessible bridge to deepen mutual understanding among diverse populations. The stage brought together prestigious Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage artists alongside performance societies representing Peru, Romania, Indonesia, and Scotland.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Joanna Wu and her executive team for their leadership and dedication to community building. This successful joint initiative provides a definitive blueprint for how the Arriba el Mate Foundation continues to serve as an active, reliable partner in BC’s multicultural landscape.
